One Childhood, One Chance

Weekly News

The children have settled into school very well after Swattenden.  We have begun our new text 'Floodland' and the children have been really engaged in predicting what might happen.  We have been writing in role as the characters whilst the sea level in Norwich rises, showing our desperation and fear for the future.

In maths, we have learnt about square, cube and prime numbers and used Freddie Factor to help with multiples and factors.  Towards the end of the week, we found negative numbers and solved problems based on them.

Topic was fun as we managed to get outside and dig up the roots of weeds, studying them and labelling their parts.  From this, we drew the life cycle of a plant.

For Love to Learn this week, please log on to www.mymaths.co.uk as there are some challenges based on our learning of factors.
