Wow what a fantastic week we have had in Team Indigo and Team Royal, take a look at what we have been up to this week….
Maths
This week in maths we looked at measuring using grams, kilograms, Celsius, litres and millimetres. Miss Davey, Miss Barlow and I were so impressed with you all using your maths vocabulary and your fantastic accuracy in measuring, well done Team Indigo and Team Royal!
Guided Reading
This week in Guided Reading we continued with the book Surprising Sharks by Nicola Davies. To start the week off we watched a BBC Newsround clip of a boy called Campbell who caught a shark. We used this to help us to write our own encounter with a shark in English. Here is a link to the video:

English
This week in English we have continued with our non-fiction text Surprising Sharks by Nicola Davies. We wrote about our own encounter with a shark and recount the events of what happened. We focused on past tense, verbs, adverbs and adjectives. Miss Barlow, Miss Davey and I were blown away by fantastic descriptive writing this week!

Thematic Curriculum
This week in our thematic curriculum we became Historians! We learnt about the famous pirates from the past Captain Blackbeard, John ‘Jack’ Rackham and Bartholomew Roberts.
PSHE
Every Friday this term we will be focusing on Be Here, Be You, Belong. This week we continued what it meant to be proud and linked this to our interests, skills and personality.
