One Childhood, One Chance

Weekly learning w/b 10.07.23

What an amazing week we have had!  The children have worked hard all year... now it was the chance to play hard!  On Tuesday, the Police came in to talk about transition and explain to children the level of risk that they may experience as they get older.  On Wednesday, we visited Elev8; the children were all very excited... and sweaty by the end!  On Friday, Go Ape saw us climbing trees, zip-lining through the canopy and walking high in the sky!

Important Messages

-17.07.23 - 19.07.23: Transition Days.  Teachers will have their new classes; Team Sapphire and Team Cornflower will be working on fun sporty projects with Miss Knight and Mr. Arthur.  On Monday, they should come to their usual classes as normal.  For the 3 days, they can wear their own sporty clothing (it does not have to be uniform PE kit).

-20.07.23: Leavers' Party at 15:30 - 18:00!  Children are welcome to bring in party clothes to change into after school.  This clothing should be appropriate for playing on inflatables outside (like Elev8); they should also wear socks.

-21.07.23: Graduation Day for the last day!  Parents are welcome up to the KS2 playground for graduation celebrations from 09:45.  Children should wear normal school uniform.  School for Year 6 finishes at 13:15; the rest of the school is 14:00 but if you have siblings in other year groups, you are welcome to take them home too.

This will be the last blog of the year... thank you for all your support and being amazing Year 6 classes!  We will really miss you!  Here's to an incredible final week!
