One Childhood, One Chance

Remembrance Day

Today in Year 1 we looked at how the war had an impact on animals. Firstly we discussed why we wear poppies, we then watched a short clip from Cbeebies 'Poppies' A beautiful and evocative animation that sees war as experienced by animals in a WWI battlefield.  This made us want to write! We looked at how the rabbit had felt, why the rabbit was hiding and where the helmet had come from, that they were hiding under. The Year 1's created some wonderful pieces of writing from the rabbits point of view! Brilliant work Year 1!
