Term 4 Week 3
This week in Maths we have been looking at the four operations. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division. We looked at different vocabulary for each operation and created our own guides to help us. We now know that when adding, if we can’t use our fingers, we can use the column method and this is the same for subtraction. We know that when showing a multiplication we can use an array to help us. We also love showing our workings out for division by using sharing circles!
This week in English we have been looking at sentence openers, we have sequenced the story of ‘Max’ by Bob Graham and re-told the story using our best sentence openers and adjectives! We also freeze framed our favourite parts of the story and showed our emotions through facial expressions.
This week we had our exit point for ‘The Circus is coming to town’ We created, out of junk modelling, our own circus props and put on some fantastic circus performances to show our peers!
We are very excited to start our new topic ‘A Pirate’s life for us’ next week. To kick start it off with the ‘Art Part’ we created some fabulous sea monsters out of clay!
We would like you to answer these maths questions and show your workings out! (Questions attached)
