Good morning, Year 4!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to enjoy the sunshine. I (Mr Abel) played tennis with Miss Lane, who absolutely thrashed me, as well as catching up with some of my friends on socially distanced walks. On to what is the last week of Term 5...
Maths
This week, we will be looking at different problems involving money, especially important as we are all out of practise paying for things with cash in shops. The powerpoint and today's challenges are attached below.
English
SPAG A DAY continues! Monday's sheet is attached to this blog. We are also continuing with Air Raid this week! Today, you need to read Chapter 4 and answer the comprehension questions. For today's writing task, you will need to use lots of emotive language to show how the boys' mother or father would be feeling. More information is on the powerpoint attached.
Topic
For Topic this week, we will be setting you a research project. You will have the whole week to complete your project and you can present it in anyway that you like. You need to choose a COUNTRY OF THE WORLD and research and present information on the following:
CLIMATE (what the weather is like)
CULTURE (what the people are like, what they get up to and what traditions they have, what food do they eat, what sports do they play)
HISTORY (what has happened in that country)
WILDLIFE (which animals and plants live there)
TOURISM (what interesting places/things there are for people to visit)
and anything else that you think is interesting! You could include pictures, videos, artwork, songs, performances. The choice is yours!
