Term 5 Week 6

What we have been learning

In Maths we continued our learning of fractions. We were able to add and subtract fractions confidently with some of us finding equivalents to help us add. We then moved into halving and doubling. We worked on both formal and mental methods.

In English we continued reading Charlotte’s web as they prepared for Wilbur to go to the fair. We wrote fantastic descriptions of Charlotte and Templeton, using fronted adverbials and expanded noun phrases. We built a wide vocabulary. We also wrote fantastic descriptions of the fair using prepositional phrases.

This week we had some lovely class swaps across Year 3 and 4. It was great to learn with different children as we prepared for the parade. We hope you enjoyed it!

Reminders:

Please take your PE Kit home ready for the final term!
