Charity and Community
Chilton Heroes working for the Community
Our school values of RESPECT, EQUALITY, COURAGE and KINDNESS teach us that our community does not end at the school gates. We raise funds for charity as part of our learning on internationalism, citizenship and PSHE. This also links closely with our learning on British Values: Democracy, Individual Liberty, The Rule of the Law and Mutual Respect.
Number Day 2025
We raised money for the NSPCC by dressing up as times-tables rock stars and enjoying a day of Maths activities! The day also marked 25 years of the NSPCC. We raised £250!
Harvest Assemblies and Thanet Food Bank Collection 2024
Our harvest celebration assemblies included performances for ou families and also a large collection of food items for Thanet Food Bank.
Community Christmas
We held our performances for Year 3-6 parents at our local church (St Laurence), made and delivered Christmas cards to our neighbours and our choir performed at a lovely festive afternoon at a local restaurant.
Community Cooking Event
Our Head cook, Chloe, hosted a special cooking event in the school kitchens to show families different recipes for making delicious and nutritious family meals. They also learned about how to use the leftovers!
Litter Heroes
The Mayor or Ramsgate organises regular litter picking mornings for Thanet school children to join. Our Litter Heroes regularly help out around Ramsgate town with the litter picking mornings!
